We offer affordable, quality education

Robin Trust started with this dream in mind: to equip and train Nurses and Care Workers to be able to give expert care to patients. Today, the college may have come a long way, but our aim is still the same: compassion and clinical excellence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Robin Trust Nursing College accredited with any professional bodies?
Yes. The College is accredited by the SA Nursing Council as a training provider and is also registered with the Department of Higher Education as a Further Training and Education (FET) college
Can I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
Yes, subject to course requirements. You’ll need to discuss this with the College at the time of your application.
Can I carry on working whilst I am studying?
The course is a full-time commitment, and comprises periods of class-based instruction and practical accompaniment in clinical facilities. Students may, with the prior knowledge and permission of the College, work (for remuneration) to a maximum of 60 hours per month at other clinical facilities or via nursing agencies (over weekends and between terms) provided students don’t work into (i.e. work the night before) or out of (i.e. work the night of) any day of class-based instruction or practical accompaniment.
What happens after I pass my exams?
The College registers you with SANC as a student to ensure you are eligible to sit the examinations. Once the examinations are completed, you will need to wait for your results, obtain your SANC certificate and then pay your SANC annual registration fee before you can commence work at your new rank (ENA, EN or RN). You can continue working at your current rank whilst waiting for your results (as a Carer, ENA or EN).

Let's hear from our Students

  • Linda Esambe
    Nursing student

“I need to work to support my family. But nursing is also my passion and it’s a family legacy – my mum and aunt are both nurses. Robin Trust is helping me both to gain employment and to realise my passion for nursing in my community. After I finish the course, I hope to realise my goal of nursing in the intensive care unit in a hospital.”
  • Quinton Parsons
    Nursing Student

“Robin Trust has real advantages for nursing students. When you come to Robin Trust, they not only teach you, they give you real hands-on experience at their step-down facility. There is no spoon-feeding. You are taught to stand on your own two feet and you are taught the value of self-study.”
